This weekend brings two events of interest for Prattville Dragoons and Confederates local to the River Region of Montgomery-Prattville. On both Saturday and Sunday the Montgomery Alcazar Gun Show will be held at the Shriners Temple off Eastern Blvd in Montgomery. The Dragoons will again have a table set up with SCV information and recruiting material. These efforts are spearheaded by Jeff Potts and his son and they will man the table on Sunday while other Dragoons will help out on Saturday. Volunteers are needed and if you attend this great event, stop by and say hello to these Confederate compatriots.
On Sunday, the rededication of the Old Rasberry Family Cemetery in Chilton County's Mulberry/Isabella community will be held at 2pm. Immediately following will be the Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony for Trevor Cofer whose Eagle Scout service project was the renovation of this historic cemetery. All are invited to cemmemorate the rediscovery, reclaiming and restoration of one of Alabama's most historic cemeteries and to celebrate Trevor Cofer's wonderful achievement.
